GREEN BAY, WI - Dillon Moyer hit a tie-breaking solo home run to lead off the 8th inning and Battle Creek held on to defeat the Green Bay Bull Frogs 4-3 to salvage the final game of the series.

Green Bay scored two in the first off starter Kyle Teague, who unfortunately had to depart due to exceeding the pitch limit. The bullpen, however, was terrific. Trey Popp, Chad Jasman, Kenton San Miguel, Ethan Bramschreiber, Brian Heldman, and Alex Tukey combined to give up just one run over the final eight innings. Bramschreiber picked up his first win, Tukey his fourth save.

Moyer's home run, his first of the season, came on the first pitch of the 8th, as he drove a fastball to the opposite field and over the right field wall. Tom Albert led the Bombers with two hits on the night.

The Bombers finished their season-long road trip at 3-3. They return home tomorrow for the first of four games to close the first half, as they host the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. First pitch is 5:05 p.m. from C.O. Brown Stadium. Joe Battistelli will start for Battle Creek.

The Battle Creek Bombers are members of the prestigious Northwoods League that has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other summer collegiate baseball league in North America.
