Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters completed their first sweep of the Kalamazoo Growlers in the 2018 season. After last night's 12-1 victory, the Rafters move to 7-7 in the second half and 22-27 overall.

The name of the game was walks last night for the Rafters as their first six runs were scored without a hit. The Growlers pitching staff threw a total of 19 walks and had two hit batters. Jake Dunham (Northern Illinois University) and Brody Wofford (Central Florida) worked four walks and Ty Duvall (Vanderbilt) worked three. Mitch Mallek (St. Cloud State) was the sole Rafter with a multi-hit game last night. He went 2-5 with three runs scored and two RBI.

On the hill tonight for the Rafters is Chandler Greenfield (Dixie State). Greenfield has a 2-0 record for the Rafters and a 3.72 ERA. In 29.0 innings pitched he has 23 strikeouts, 15 walks and 33 hits. This will be his third start for the Rafters and twelfth appearance.

Pitching for the Mallards is Sean Leland. This righty pitcher sports a 2-2 record for the Mallards with a 3.71 ERA. He has struck out 33 batters, walked nine and allowed 39 hits in his 36.1 innings pitched. This will be Leland's seventh start and eighth appearance.

The first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. The Rafters hit the road tomorrow for a three-game weekend road trip leading into the All-Star Break. The Rafters will return home on July 26th to the start their final series with the Lakeshore Chinooks.
