Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - After the Rafter's loss last night 9-3 to the Mallards, the Rafters fall to 7-8 in the second half and 22-28 on the season. The Mallards are now also 7-8 on the season with a 35-16 overall record. These two teams will face off for the last time this season tonight at Warner Park.

The Rafters were within two runs, trailing 5-3, entering the ninth inning last night. The Mallards however, pulled away late with a four-run ninth. A wild pitch allowed one to score followed by a three-run double from Jake Randa.

On the mound for the Rafters is Tyler Giovinco. The lefty from Army West Point has a 2-0 record for the Rafters and sports a 2.81 ERA. This will be Giovinco's fourth start for the season. In his previous 16 innings pitched he has recorded five strikeouts, six walks and 14 hits.

The Mallards will counter with Ryan Kutt. The righty from Illinois is 3-2 with an ERA of 5.01. Kutt will be making his eighth start for Madison. In 32.1 innings pitched, the freshman has 26 strikeouts, issued 13 walks and allowed 39 hits.

This is the first game of a three-game road trip. Tonight's first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.
