Green Bay Rockers News Release

Green Bay, WI. - Tonight's match-up at Joannes Stadium between the host Green Bay Bullfrogs (19-32, 7-8) and visiting Battle Creek Bombers (24-26, 8-7) was suspended in the top of the second inning due to inclement weather Friday evening.

The game will be finished to nine innings as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, July 28 in Battle Creek starting at 4:05 EST. The regularly scheduled game will take place afterwards and it will be seven innings.

Green Bay trailed 1-0 tonight in the top of the second inning before the heavy rain poured down, forcing a weather delay. The Bombers took the early lead as Jordan Swiss scored on a wild pitch. Bullfrogs starting pitcher Ryan Gowens (Senior, Univ. of Arizona) posted three strikeouts in the first inning and threw 17 strikes to just two balls in his first 19 pitches of the contest.

The Bullfrogs remain at home tomorrow night, hosting the Wisconsin Woodchucks for the opener of a two-game weekend series. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. from Joannes Stadium.
