Quentin Musty Commits to Wolves

(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that the Club's first overall choice and this year's recipient of the Jack Ferguson award, Quentin Musty, has committed to the Hockey Club.

Following an exciting day one in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection presented by the Real Canadian Superstore, the Sudbury Wolves inked the highly skilled forward to an OHL Standard Player Agreement.

"Drafting Quentin first overall was amazing for our franchise and now having him sign is tremendous for our team, our city, our fans and our league," said Sudbury Wolves VP and General Manager, Rob Papineau. "He is a player that his teammates and coaches will love. He is a tremendous young man and is so committed, dedicated, and wanting to help the Sudbury Wolves win. I can't wait for our fans to be able to come to the rink and watch him along with our other talented young players."

The 15-year-old, known as a dynamic player who can simply do it all, will take the next steps in his hockey career lacing up for the Wolves in the City of Greater Sudbury. The 6'2", 190lbs, forward from Hamburg, N.Y., is one of the top rated 2005-born players in North America who can use both his size and elite skill to his advantage. Quentin possesses a pro level shot and great playmaking abilities to go along with his elite-level playing style making him a dangerous threat each time he steps on the ice. In 27 games with the North Jersey Avalanche this past season, he scored 23 goals and recorded 33 assists, for 56 points. Quentin had an outstanding season where he led his North Jersey Avalanche team to the USA Hockey Youth Tier-1 U16 National Championship where he was the top scorer with 17 points in 6 games. With his passion, determination, and dedication to the game, Quentin now brings his talent to Wolves core as he suits up in the blue and white.

"I am thrilled to sign with the Wolves today. This is a great way to end an amazing week and start my summer getting ready to play in Sudbury this September," said Quentin Musty. "I can't wait to get to the city and meet all my teammates and coaches," he added.

Quentin joins previously committed 2020 Draft picks, David Goyette, Kocha Delic, Evan Konyen, and Nolan Collins as they prepare for their first taste of OHL action this fall. The Wolves Main Training Camp will open on September 4th at the Sudbury Arena.

The OHL Priority Selection will resume tomorrow, Saturday, June 5th at 9:00am for the remaining rounds
