Norfolk Admirals News Release

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals announced today that protective netting will be installed at Norfolk Scope on January 27 and 28. The netting will be placed at both ends of the rink behind the goals to prevent pucks from entering the stands behind them. In July, 2002, the American Hockey League (AHL) issued a mandate requiring all member clubs to install the netting this season.

The first game the netting will be in place is the Admirals' contest against the Chicago Wolves (Atlanta Thrashers) on Friday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m. Norfolk's next home game is this Friday, January 10, versus the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (New York Islanders). Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for all remaining contests on the Admirals' home schedule are available at Scope's Box Office, all TicketMaster outlets, charge-by-phone at (757) 671-8100 and online at www.ticketmaster.com. Family Four Packs and AJ Gator's pre-game party packages are available at Scope's Box Office and all TicketMaster outlets.

Flex Vouchers and group tickets are available through the Admirals' office. For more information, contact the Admirals at (757) 363-1900 or visit the club's website at www.norfolkadmirals.com.
