The Maple Leafs announced today that defenceman Karel Pilar has been assigned to St. John's. Pilar accumulated 7 points (3-4=7) and had 12 penalty minutes in 17 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season. In seven games with St. John's Pilar has seven points (2-5=7). Pilar is expected to play this Friday and Saturday, January 10th & 11th against the Wilke-Barre/Scranton Penguins at Mile One Stadium. Game times are 7:30PM on Radio NF (930AM) and www.sjmapleleafs.ca. The Maple Leafs face their division rival Saint John Flames next Tuesday & Wednesday, January 14th & 15th.
