Phantoms' Win One, Get One Free Night
January 9, 2003 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Adirondack Phantoms News Release
(PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 9, 2003) - Philadelphia hockey fans can benefit from one of the AHL's hottest teams on Friday, Jan. 17 during the Phantoms' Win One, Get One Free Night. If the Phantoms defeat the Cleveland Barons that night, all fans in attendance will receive a free ticket to Philadelphia's game on Wednesday, Jan. 22 vs. the Utah Grizzlies.
Philadelphia has won six of its last 10 games and will be facing a Cleveland squad that currently owns the worst record in the Western Conference. If the Phantoms beat the Barons, fans just have to bring their ticket stubs to the game on Jan. 22 and trade them at the First Union Spectrum box office for a free ticket to see that night's contest. The ticket stubs will not be redeemable prior to Jan. 22 at the First Union Center box office or Ticketmaster locations.
"This promotion should give our fans yet another thing to cheer about," said Phantoms Vice President Jim Garino. "We have seen teams 'Guarantee' a win by providing a complimentary ticket to their fans if they lose. This is not an attempt to guarantee a win versus our opponent, but more of a thank you to our loyal fans should we win.
"While we have been the AHL attendance leader in each of our first six years in existence, there are still people who have never seen us play," added Garino. "This is a tremendous value proposition and a lot of fun."
Dexter and Dee Dee from the Cartoon Network hit television show "Dexter's Laboratory" will also be appearing at the Phantoms game on Friday, Jan. 17. The duo will be signing autographs and taking pictures with all their fans who bring cameras prior to the game. Dexter's Laboratory prizes will also be given out throughout the night.
Tickets to all Phantoms home games are $18, $17 and $13 for adults, and $8 for all children 14 and under, and are available now at the First Union Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations throughout the Delaware Valley. Tickets can also be charged by phone by calling (215) 336-2000 or (856) 338-9000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Contact the Phantoms office at 215-465-4522 for information on group discounts, birthday packages and the Family Four Pack.
