FLORENCE, KY - Designated hitter Brennan Price's tenth inning three-run home run clinched a 5-2 Y'alls win and an early-season series victory for Florence (3-2) over the Joliet Slammers (1-4).

After a scoreless first three innings, Florence jumped ahead in the fourth inning when Brennan Price drove in first baseman Craig Massey with a one-out RBI single. The game stayed 1-0 until Joliet answered with a two-run sixth. Center fielder G.J. Hill belted a two-run home run to right field to give the Slammers the lead.

The Y'alls responded in the seventh with an Andres Rios RBI single off Joliet righthander Jared Liebelt that drove in shortstop Jeremiah Burks. Neither team would score again in regulation play.

In the tenth inning, Joliet could not score. In the bottom of the tenth, center fielder Cole Brannen drew a two-out walk against former Y'all righthander Evy Ruibal to bring up Brennan Price, who hit a three-run home run to right center field to finish off a walk-off win.

Price is now 6-for-8 (.750) on the young season with seven RBI. Brannen extended his on-base streak to five games, while Jeremiah Burks hit his third double of the year. Y'alls starting pitcher Edgar Martinez turned in his first quality start of the season with six innings pitched and two earned runs allowed.

The Y'alls and Slammers finish their series against Joliet on Thursday, May 18th at 6:34 PM.
