Preview: Storm Travel to Iowa for Two Game Weekend

Dubuque, IA. - The Tri-City Storm travel to Dubuque, IA and Cedar Rapids, IA this weekend for games against the Dubuque Fighting Saints and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Tri-City split last weekend's home series with the Des Moines Buccaneers. The Storm return home next weekend for back to back games against Team USA. Next weekend's home game promotions include "Chamber Night" and "Girls Night Out". Tri-City (6-7-1-1) looks for a bounce back win in tonight's road game against Dubuque following an 8-4 home loss to Des Moines Saturday night at the Viaero Center. In the loss, Tri-City got goals from Benji Eckerle, Colby Ambrosio, Mike Koster, and Joe Molenaar. Tonight's game against the Fighting Saints is the final game in the two game season series. Dubuque defeated Tri-City at the Viaero Center by a final score of 3-1 on October 13th. Tri-City enters tonight's game in 4th place in the Western Conference standings. Last season, the Storm swept the two-game series against the Fighting Saints. Tri-City won both games played at the Mystique Ice Center. The weekend saw Nick Capone's 1st Career Goal and an Overtime Game Winning Goal scored by Mike Koster. Tri-City has not lost a regular season road game against Dubuque since dropping a 4-2 decision on December 17th, 2016. The Storm travel to Cedar Rapids tomorrow to complete the two game season series against the RoughRiders.

Dubuque (8-2-1-0) enters tonight's home game against Tri-City as the 2nd place team in the Eastern Conference standings. The Fighting Saints currently have the league's top power play (29.0%) and have been the least penalized team in the USHL to this point in the 2019-2020 regular season (86 penalty minutes). The Fighting Saints, like the Storm, will be in search of a bounce back win in tonight's game after dropping two home games last weekend to the Waterloo Black Hawks and the Fargo Force. Prior to last weekend's games, Dubuque had not lost a home game at the Mystique Ice Center this season. Scoring leaders for the Fighting Saints include; Dylan Jackson (6), Riese Gaber (6), Ty Jackson (4), Mark Cheremeta (4), and Antonio Venuto (3). Dubuque hosts the Lincoln Stars tomorrow night before beginning a five-game road trip.
