
Preview: Spirit Host Spitfires for Movember Night

SAGINAW, MI - On Saturday night, the Spirit welcome the Windsor Spitfires (16-6-3-0, 1st West Division) to The Dow Event Center for the first time this season. Tonight's meeting with the Spits is the third of eight with their West Division rival. Tonight is Movember and Men's Cancer Awareness Night with the first 2,500 fans in attendance receiving free noise clappers courtesy of Covenant Health Care. The puck drops at 7:05.
Windsor has beaten the Spirit in their first two matchups on the season. On October 1st, seven different Spitfires scored in a 7-1 decision. Last night, the Spirit trailed 2-1 in the third before the Spits scored two goals in 1:27 to go up 4-1. Gabriel Vilardi added another tally to give Windsor the 5-1 win.
NHL Central Scouting List:
Four members of the Saginaw Spirit were featured on the latest NHL Central Scouting list. Forward Tye Felhaber, Defensemen Keaton Middleton and Markus Niemelainen, and Goaltender Evan Cormier are all on the radar of NHL scouts and hope to hear their named called in June's 2016 NHL Draft.
