Andrew Cristall broke the Blazers shutout bid, while Talyn Boyko stopped 32 of the 38 shots fired on him.
Roster Updates
The Rockets will be without forwards Colton Dach, Adam Kydd and Gabriel Szturc
Both Dach (Canada) and Szturc (Czechia) are competing at the World Junior Championship. Blazers forwards Caedan Bankier and Logan Stankoven are also representing Canada at the tournament.
Kydd remains sidelined with a lower-body injury.
Players to watch
Kelowna
Andrew Cristall enters the second half of the season in second place for league scoring with 55 points (21G, 24A) through 29 games, he trails Connor Bedard who has 64 points (27G, 37A) in 29 games
With Dach and Szturc away at the World Junior Championship, look for youngsters Ethan Neutens, Logan Peskett, Will Munro and Grady Lenton to get more ice time and opportunity.
Kamloops
The Blazers two leading scorers are away at the World Juniors, Matthew Seminoff sits third in team scoring with 32 points in 28 games and will be expected to step up.
Minnesota Wild prospect Kyle Masters leads all Blazers defencemen in scoring with 28 points (4G, 24A) in 28 games, doubling his career-best 14 points in 65 games last year. The Blazers acquired the defenceman from the Red Deer Rebels prior to the season starting.
