The Pirates and IceCaps last played Tuesday, a 7-5 win for St. John's. The Pirates jumped out to a 2-0 lead but the IceCaps stuck back with 6 goals in the second period, the most goals that the Pirates have allowed in a period in team history. The Pirates made the game interesting in the third as Lucas Lessio and Brett Hextall both scored, but they were unable to overcome the deficit. Lessio scored twice in the game and added an assist, while Andy Miele scored his 20th goal of the year, setting a career high.
