Sarnia Sting News Release
Riding a 3 game winning streak, the Sarnia Sting get set to host the Windsor Spitfires on Friday night and the Flint Firebirds on Sunday night at the SSEC. With both games this week being divisional match-ups, the Sting look to improve their ranks in the West Division standings.
As it stands, the Sting are just 2 points behind Friday's opponent for best in the division; with one game in hand. The Spitfires are slated to host the Steelheads on Thursday night.
Friday's contest falls on Ugly Christmas Sweater night - presented by Mainstreet Credit Union. The team will be wearing Ugly Xmas jerseys; all of which will be auctioned off following the game (online) with proceeds going back to the Inn of the Good Shepherd. Auction site
After dropping their first three contests against the Firebirds this season, the Sting managed to stop the skid last Saturday night, downing the Firebirds by a score of 5-3 at the Dort Federal Event Center.
Sunday's game is sponsored by Pizza Pizza and will include interactive games on the concourse, and a post-game autograph session powered by All Season Concrete & Forming. Fans in attendance can purchase their 2015-16 player card sets from the store, and then have the entire team sign them in the restaurant following the final buzzer.
