The Bloomington PrairieThunder's Jason Dale was the leading scorer on Wednesday night with seven points as the CHL All-Stars defeated the home town Rapid City Rush 11-6 in the Central Hockey League's annual all-star game. Dale, Bloomington's only representative playing in the game, scored two goals and added five assists. He scored the night's first goal at 3:17 of the first period and the All-Stars tenth goal at 18:15 of the third period. Of his five assists, he assisted on the game winning goal which was scored by Evansville's Brian Bicek at 17:28 of the second period. Bicek, along with Wichita's Matt Robinson and Odessa's Sebastien Thinel, each had a hat trick on the night but it was the PrairieThunder's Jason Dale who was the leading scorer on the night with seven points.

Bloomington-Normal's only professional winter sports team, the PrairieThunder, heads into the second half of the CHL season with the best winning percentage in the league's Turner (Northern) Conference. The PrairieThunder has a winning percentage of .629 and based on playing three fewer games than the first place Rapid City Rush, are in the second place, one point behind Rapid City when regular season play resumes on Friday.
Bloomington (19-11-1) will play three games this week. The PThunder head to Ohio to face the Dayton Gems on Friday (1/14) and then are back home to play the Fort Wayne Komets for the first time in Bloomington this season on Saturday night (1/15) and entertain the Rapid City Rush for the only time during the regular season on Sunday afternoon.
