CHL Tops Rapid City, 11-6, to Win All-Star Game

RAPID CITY, SD - Sebastien Thinel tallied five assists to help guide the CHL All-Stars to an 11-6 win over the Rapid City Rush on Wednesday night in the league's 2011 All-Star Game.

The game was Thinel's sixth all-star appearance.

For the third straight season, the game featured a team of league all-star players against a CHL host team - the Rapid City Rush. It was the first time in three tries that the CHL All-Stars won the game under the format.

Bloomington's Jason Dale and Rapid City's Ryan Menei were named the MVP's of the game. Dale had two goals and five assists for the CHL while Menei tallied a pair of goals.

The Jackalopes resume play on Friday as they visit the Colorado Eagles for a weekend set. Game time is scheduled for 8:05 PM and the action can be heard on Classic Rock 102.1 FM.

The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The team is currently in the middle of its 14th season.
