PrairieThunder Lose at Wichita 5-1 on Saturday Night

The Bloomington PrairieThunder came out sluggish, giving up four period goals, and lost 5-1 on Saturday night in Wichita, Kansas to the Wichita Thunder. Wichita's Mike Looby scored the game winner at 13:02 of the first period. Jon Booras scored the lone PrairieThunder goal (his 10th of the season) at 15:51 of the second period after Bloomington was down 4-0. CHL All-Star Jason Dale and defenseman P.O. Beaulieu assisted on the Booras goal.

Marco Emond started in goal for Bloomington and was replaced in the first period after giving up 4 goals on 10 shots. Brad Phillips went the rest of the way stopping 18 of 19 Wichita shots. The PrairieThunder now take off for the CHL All-Star Game Break. The team returns to action next Friday, January 14th at Dayton, Ohio against the Gems. And the next action at home at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum is next Saturday, January 15th, when the Fort Wayne Komets make their first appearance in Bloomington this season. Game time next Saturday is 7:05pm.
