Travis Granbois and Garrett Klotz also tallied for Bloomington who improved to 36-20-6 and have closed to within two points of second place Rapid City and four points of first place Colorado with four games left in the regular season. Goaltender Brad Phillips was named the game's number one star stopping 36 of 37 Komets shots. Fort Wayne falls to 29-27-7 and remains tied with Dayton for seventh in the Turner Conference.
