Mike Williams allowed the home run and took the loss for West Virginia. Ramon Cabrera had two hits, including his fourth double of the series.

POWER V LEGENDS: West Virginia has played Lexington more than any other team dating back to the 2005 season. The Power lead the all-time series 58-55, but trail 27-31 at Appalachian Power Park. West Virginia does, however, have the edge at Applebee's Park in Lexington, winning 31 of 55 games. The 2009 series was split at six wins and six losses.

CLOSE CALLS: West Virginia and Lexington have played 12 times this season and six games have been decided by one run, including the each of the last six games.

SEVENTH EVAN: Evan Chambers had scored at least one run in seven straight games prior to his appearance yesterday. Chambers pinch hit for Kyle Morgan in the eighth and flew out to right. The outfielder leads the Power with 54 runs scored and ranks ninth in the South Atlantic League, 24 runs behind Lexington's J.D. Martinez.

STREAKING: Aaron Baker doubled in the sixth inning to extend his hitting streak to eight straight games, his longest of the season. Baker is batting .458 during his eight game streak with 11 hits in 24 at bats. The first baseman has hit two home runs and driven in 11.

K-MAN: Kyle McPherson struck out 11 batters over five and two-thirds on Friday, setting a new single game high by any Power pitcher this season. The right-hander owned the previous high by striking out 10 Shorebirds in a May 19 win over Delmarva. McPherson has 94 strikeouts this season, second most in the SAL, and trails only Brandon Moore. Moore began the year with Savannah and struck out 98, but has been promoted to St. Lucie.

CATCH THIS: Pittsburgh promoted Jairo Marquez to the Power roster on Sunday and transferred Pat Irvine back to the State College roster. Marquez signed with the Pirates as a non-drafted free agent in 2007 and has played in the VSL, GCL, and NYPL during his career. The catcher began his 2010 season with State College, appearing in four games, batting .167 with a run batted in. Irvine hit .212 in ten games for the Power.

Chambers ranks third across all of Minor League Baseball, trailing only Kila Ki'aihue of Omaha (77) and Conner Crumbliss of Kane County (74). The Lakeland, Florida native has walked in 53 of the 82 games he has played in this season (65%).

POWER POINTS: Evan Chambers hitting streak was snapped at eight straight games with an 0-3 performance Saturday. The outfielder batted .333 during the last week and a day...
