Johnstown Chiefs News Release
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - With the Chiefs returning home for two games at the UPMC Health Plan Ice Rink at the Cambria County War Memorial this week, there is plenty of excitement on tap.
Tonight at 7:00 p.m. "The Pow Wow" Coach's Show makes its 2009-10 debut. The live show will be hosted at The Crow's Nest, 510 Tire Hill Rd. Johnstown, PA, and features the "Voice of the Chiefs" Ray Schmitt with guest Jeff Flanagan. Schmitt and Flanagan, the Chiefs rookie head coach, will sit down for a half hour discussion on the team's performance last week, a preview of this week's action, and anything else that might come up. "The Pow Wow" will be hosted bi-weekly at The Crow's Nest and is free for Chiefs fans to attend. For those who can't make it to the live show, a recorded version will be available online at www.johnstownchiefs.com in the days following the live show.
Tomorrow night the Chiefs will play their first home game in over two weeks when they take on the Reading Royals. The game will feature a special 7:30 start time because the Chiefs will hold a pregame ceremony to honor America's armed forces. In addition, all active military and military veterans can take advantage of $5 Veterans' Day tickets to Wednesday's game by calling the Chiefs front office at 814-539-1799 to place their order. To top off the celebration, the Chiefs will be wearing special camouflage jerseys that will be auctioned off live immediately following the game. With bids starting at $200, fans can bid on their favorite player's jersey from that night's game. Winning bidders will get to come down to ice level to have their photo taken with the player whose jersey they won and get the jersey autographed.
