Potomac, Frederick Suspended In Sixth

WOODBRIDGE, VA - The second game of a four-game set between Potomac and Frederick was suspended due to rain Friday night and will be resumed Saturday at 5:05 p.m., with the third game of the series to follow.

The game was suspended in the bottom of the sixth with a 2-1 count on Potomac's Edgardo Baez and the score 3-2 in favor of Frederick.

Potomac got on the board first, when Dee Brown singled home Marcos Yepez in the first after Yepez doubled to open the inning.

The Nationals extended the lead to 2-0 in the fifth when recently activated Brian Peacock scored on a Yepez single to left.

Nationals starter Clint Everts went six innings and gave up three runs, all coming on a Mark Fleisher home run to left in the top of the six.

Rehabbing Major League Alex Escobar went 0-for-3 in the game from the designated hitter spot with two ground-outs and a strikeout.
