Plenty of Walks in Snappers Victory

The Snappers and the Burlington Bees pitching staff combined for 19 walks with the Snappers coming out on top with a 7-3 victory.

Even with seven walks Martire Garcia picked up his second win in five innings of work while only giving up two earned runs.

The "Brodie Trophy Player of the Game" is Lance Ray who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored.

The Snappers are still chasing the Kane County Cougars who had won earlier in the day against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for the final playoff spot. With seven games left in the season the Cougars hold a one game lead, with the Snappers holding the tie breaker.

The Snappers will send right hander Tom Stuifbergen to the mound Tuesday night as the Snappers look to sweep the Bees, game time is set for 7:00pm. The Snappers will head to Clinton, Iowa too take on the LumberKings for their final road trip of the season on Wednesday.
