Playoff Schedule Released, RiverKings Meet OKC

(Southaven, MS) --- The Central Hockey League Northeast Division champion Mississippi RiverKings have announced the playoff schedule for their Northern Conference semi-final series against the Oklahoma City Blazers.

The RiverKings are the number two seed in the run for the 2009 Ray Miron President's Cup championship, while Oklahoma City is the number three seed.

The best-of-seven playoff series will start at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven on Wednesday, March 25th with game one between the two long-time division rivals. The second game of the series will be the following night, March 26th, also at the DeSoto Civic Center.

The series will switch to the Sooner State capital city for games three and four. Game three will be played at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, April 1st, followed by game four the following night, Thursday, April 2nd.

If needed, game five of the series returns to the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven on Saturday, April 4th. A sixth game, if necessary, would be played at the Ford Center on Monday, April 6th.

A seventh and deciding game of the series would take place at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven on Wednesday, April 8th.

All RiverKings home games in the series will begin at 7:05 PM. Games in Oklahoma City will begin at 7:10 PM.

Mississippi won this year's season series against Oklahoma City 6-3-0.
