
Plante Returns to Fury

Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Saturday assigned defenseman Philippe Plante to the Muskegon Fury of the United Hockey League.
Plante, 24, has totaled three points (1-2-3) and a plus-two rating in eight games with the Griffins this season. Recalled for the second time this year on Nov. 23, he scored the game-winning goal in the Griffins' 4-2 victory over Cleveland that same night.
A member of Muskegon's 2002 Colonial Cup championship team, Plante is expected to be in the Fury's lineup tonight when they host Rockford at 7:30 p.m. He has six points (1-5-6) and a plus-six rating in 10 games with Muskegon this season.
