Griffins Ready to Skate 'Round the Clock

WHAT: "The Great Skate," a 24-hour fundraiser for the Grand Rapids Griffins Youth Foundation, presented by the Grand Rapids Griffins.

WHERE: Rosa Parks Ice Rink in downtown Grand Rapids

WHEN: Noon on Sunday, Dec. 8 until noon on Monday, Dec. 9

WHO: Every Griffins player, along with head coach Danton Cole, assistant coach Todd Nelson and general manager Bob McNamara, will take a turn skating with fans for at least one hour.

* This unique, inaugural event will feature music, raffles and special events around the clock. Complimentary snacks will also be available, including Starr Puff Donuts, courtesy of Meijer, and coffee, provided by Starbucks.

* There is no admission fee or skate rental fee, but fans are encouraged to make a $5 donation to the Griffins Youth Foundation.
