
Pittsburgh Penguins Recall LW Konstantin Koltsov from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Konstantin Koltsov from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The announced was made today by Penguins' General Manager Craig Patrick.
Koltsov, 21, has played in 38 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 19 points (6+13) and eight penalty minutes, tying him for eighth on the team in scoring.
The 6'0", 201-pound native of Minsk, Belarus was drafted by the Penguins in the first round (18th overall) of the 1999 Entry Draft.
On Sunday, the Penguins reassigned forward Tom Kostopoulos to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Kostopoulos, 23, played in eight games with the Penguins after being recalled on January 9, recording one assist. Kostopoulos is Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's leading scorer with 35 points (13+22) in 38 games.
He has played in 19 career games with Pittsburgh, recording four points (1+3) and nine penalty minutes. Kostopoulos has played in 258 career games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 198 points (82+116) and 430 penalty minutes.
The 6'0", 200-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario was drafted by the Penguins in the seventh round (204th overall) of the 1999 Entry Draft.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (20-21-3-3, 46 points; Third-place, South Division) will begin a six-game homestand on Wednesday (January 29) as they host the Syracuse Crunch (14-25-5-2, 35 points; Fourth-place, Central Division) at 7:05 p.m. at the First Union Arena at Casey Plaza. Approximately 300 tickets are still available for the game. The Penguins have sold out their last 81 home games (league-record) played in Wilkes-Barre.
Ticket prices for the Penguins' 2002-03 season are set at $29.25 (Yellow Zone), $18.75 (Red Zone), $16.75 (Gold Zone) and $12.50 (Blue Zone). The First Union Arena Box Office is open Monday thru Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Payment accepted at the Arena Box Office includes cash, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. The First Union Arena Box Office does not accept telephone orders or personal checks.
