Blackhawks Recall Passmore, Assign Leighton

The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled goaltender Steve Passmore from the Norfolk Admirals. Goaltender Michael Leighton was also assigned to Norfolk.

Passmore appeared in 14 games with Norfolk (AHL) posting a 4-7-2 record with a 2.38 goals against average, a .906 save percentage and two shutouts. He appeared in three games for the Blackhawks this season prior to being assigned to Norfolk (AHL) on November 26th. Passmore a posted a record of 0-2-1 with a goals against average of 4.22 and a save percentage of .875 with the Blackhawks this season.

Leighton appeared in five games with the Blackhawks since his recall on January 1st, recording a 0-3-1 record with a 2.77 goals against average and a .909 save percentage with one shutout. Leighton became the first goaltender in Blackhawk history to record a shutout in his NHL debut on January 8 versus the Phoenix Coyotes in a scoreless tie. He appeared in 21 games with the Admirals posting a 13-7-1 record, a 2.71 goals against average, a .911 save percentage with one shutout prior to joining the Blackhawks.
