
Pigs Look to Sweep RailRiders

After a wild 12-8 win on Tuesday, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs will go for the sweep of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Wednesday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.
RHP Dustin McGowan (1-1, 6.00) gets the start for the IronPigs in the series finale. It will mark the right-hander's first start of the year for Lehigh Valley. McGowan's last outing came on Friday vs. Louisville when he allowed six runs on six hits in 0.2 IP and was tagged with the loss. Back on April 23 with the Phillies, the Savannah Ga. native made a start against the Marlins and took the loss after giving up four runs on three hits while walking four and fanning four in 3.1 IP.
RHP Jaron Long (5-5, 5.11) will be on the bump for manager Dave Miley's squad on Wednesday night. Long got the loss vs. Louisville on Thursday after giving up 11 runs on 14 hits in 4.1 IP. Wednesday marks the right-hander's third start of the year against the IronPigs. To date, the Ohio State product is 0-0 with a 4.22 ERA in 2 GS against Lehigh Valley. On June 20 at Coca-Cola Park, Long got a no-decision after surrendering three runs (two earned) on seven hits while walking one and fanning six in 5.1 IP.
The IronPigs will be wearing special "Hump Day" jerseys as part of the Camel Jersey auction presented by GEICO Lehigh Valley. A real camel, provided by the Lehigh Valley Zoo, will be present in the AT&T Plaza from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday is Ladies Night presented by Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays and all fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $1 popcorns throughout the game.
