Pickrel Named Can-Am Hitter of the Week

WEST HAVEN, CT- Jeremy Pickrel was named Can-Am League Hitter of the week last week by PA-Sportsticker, the official statistician for the league.

For the week of Aug 6th - Aug 12th, Pickrel hit a whopping .389 (7-for-18) with two long balls and six RBI. Pickrel's slugging Percentage was 1.000 for the week and he also had three stolen bases and scored six runs.

Pickrel was just a home run short of the cycle during the Cutters 9-5 Victory over the Grays last Wednesday (Aug 8th), as he finished three-for-four at the plate. Pickrel's productive week raised his batting average to .311 on the season and also gave him the league lead in triples with seven.

Pickrel also moved into a tie for third place in extra base hits (34), as six of his seven hits during the week were of that nature. Three doubles, a triple and two home runs. Pickrel's 1.000 slugging percentage for the week also moved him into fourth place over all in the Can-Am league (.555).
