Heikkinen-Webb named to 40 under 40 club

WEST HAVEN- New Haven County Cutters General Manager Marie Heikkinen-Webb was named to this year's 40 under 40 club, a prestigious award given annually throughout the greater New Haven area each of the past 14 years.
The award is given to 40 business men and women under the age of 40 around greater New Haven in recognition of their professional success and involvement in the community.
Heikkinen-Webb, 32 joined the New Haven County Cutters in 2004 and is one of only five female professional baseball general managers in the entire country. Heikkinen-Webb has established and maintained community as a top priority for the Cutters organization in the past few years.
Under her leadership the Cutters have worked with over 200 non-profit organizations, assisted with fundraising efforts and participated in numerous events, using Cutters baseball to create awareness for various groups and organizations throughout the greater New Haven area and beyond.
Heikkinen-Webb is responsible for launching "Cutters Baseball...Off the Field & In the Community" which has grown steadily in the last couple of years. As a result the Cutters organization was a recipient of the NB Solutions! 2007 Community Outreach Award, for their outstanding work in the community.
On the Business end of things, Heikkinen-Webb has guided the Cutters to new heights in the past few years as both attendance figures and sponsorship has steadily grown. This constant steady growth is a sign that this team is making an impact with both New Haven area residents and businesses and will continue to do so for years to come.
