A sensational pitching performance by Nashua starter Hideki Nagasaka leads the Pride to a big win over the Worcester Tornadoes. Nagasaka went the distance allowing only two walks and four hits while striking out eight batters. His record jumps to 8-1 on the year. DH Tommy Rojas and 3B Olmo Rosario led Nashua offensively as both went 2-for-4 at the plate with Rojas scoring two runs and driving in another. Rojas also blasted his second home run of the season, a solo shot in the sixth inning. With the win, Nashua moves their second half record over the .500 mark to 15-14.

Atlantic City 6, Quebec 1

A solid pitching performance by starting pitcher Ben Thurmond and a terrific outing at the plate by 1B Joe Burke leads the Atlantic City Surf to a victory over the Quebec Capitales and their third straight win overall. Ben Thurmond goes seven innings giving up only two hits and a walk while striking out three Capitales batters. He is now 9-5 on the season. Burke, on the other hand, went 4-for-5 at the dish with two runs scored, a double and a run batted in. For the Capitales, C Greg Stevens goes 2-for-3, collecting two of the only three hits by Quebec on the evening.

North Shore 6, Brockton 5

The North Shore Spirit scored two runs in the seventh inning to break a 4-4 tie and go on to beat the Brockton Rox by a run. SS Jerson Perez led the way offensively for the Spirit going 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. 3B Luis Lopez for North Shore also chipped with a 2-for-4 effort with two runs scored, a double and a RBI. North Shore starter Matt Bishop notched his eighth win of the season going seven innings allowing four runs, all earned, on seven hits with six strikeouts. Spirit reliever Julio Soriano picked up his first save of the season pitching a 1/3 of an inning.

Sussex 4, New Jersey 3

The Sussex Skyhawks plate three runs in the sixth inning to overcome a 2-1 deficit to get their second straight victory against the New Jersey Jackals. Skyhawks RF Scott Grimes had a perfect 4-for-4 night at the plate with a run scored and two runs driven in. Sussex reliever Jamie Merchant moves his record 2-1 with the win going 3 2/3 innings allowing one earned run on three hits with four strikeouts. For the Jackals in the losing effort, RF Francisco Leandro went 2-for-5 with a run scored.

A RBI single by 3B Ben Tinius scores C JB Tucker from second base in the 13th inning to give the Grays the win over the New Haven County Cutters. Tucker, Tinius and RF Mike Pierre each had two hit nights for the Grays with Tucker plating two runs, including the game winning run. Grays reliever Dustin Nielsen pitches a perfect 12th inning to get the victory. He is now 5-2 on the season. Tony O'Donnell shuts down the Cutters in the 13th to collect his first save of the season. LF Henri Stanley had two hits on the night for the Cutters, who now drop three games behind North Shore in the second half standings.
