
Philadelphia Union Announce 2023 Roster Decisions

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union today announced that they have exercised the contract options on seven players from their 2022 roster, while 18 contracts were already guaranteed for next season, giving the club a roster that currently features 25 players under contract for the 2023 campaign.
Philadelphia Union Sporting Director Ernst Tanner and Head Coach Jim Curtin will be holding an end of season press conference on Friday, November 18 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Further details to follow.
Options have been exercised for Chris Donovan, Leon Flach, Matt Freese, Nathan Harriel, Gino Portella, Matthew Real, and Kai Wagner.
The club is in conversation with Joe Bendik (out of contract) and Cory Burke (option declined) about returning to the Union in 2023. Additionally, the club declined the option for Cole Turner.
