
FC Cincinnati Announce Roster Decisions Ahead of 2023 Season

FC Cincinnati News Release
Today FC Cincinnati announced the club's offseason roster moves following the 2022 season. FC Cincinnati currently have 18 players under contract for 2023, and have exercised the options on five players, bringing the total roster to 23 players.
"First, thank you to the players and staff for everything they did to make this a memorable season," said FC Cincinnati General Manager Chris Albright. "Most importantly, I want to thank the fans for their incredible support all year long. We believe we have a strong core in place to continue to build a team that is worthy of that support, and we look forward to 2023."
The club has exercised options on the following players: Álvaro Barreal, Evan Louro, Junior Moreno, Ian Murphy, and Alvas Powell.
FC Cincinnati declined options on Tyler Blackett, Zico Bailey, Geoff Cameron, Allan Cruz, Ronald Matarrita, Nick Markanich, Ben Mines and Beckham Sunderland.
The club remains in discussions with some players about their futures with FC Cincinnati.
"I'd like to thank the players who are departing FC Cincinnati for their service and dedication to the club. We wish them all the best for the future," said Albright.
FC Cincinnati's roster is currently structured as follows:
Goalkeeper (4): Roman Celentano, Alec Kann, Evan Louro, Kenneth Vermeer
Defender (6): Álvaro Barreal, Ray Gaddis, Nick Hagglund, Matt Miazga, Ian Murphy, Alvas Powell
Midfielder (6): Luciano Acosta, Yuya Kubo, Stiven Jimenez, Junior Moreno, Obinna Nwobodo, Harrison Robledo
Forward (7): Isaac Atanga, Dominique Badji, Brenner, Calvin Harris, Arquimides Ordoñez, Sergio Santos, Brandon Vazquez
*Isaac Atanga is currently on loan with Göztepe SK in the TFF 1. League through May 2023
