Whitecaps FC Confirm 2023 Preseason Start Date, Trip to Palm Springs

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Tuesday the start of the club's 2023 preseason, as well as a trip to Palm Springs, California, in advance of the 2023 MLS regular season, Concacaf Champions League, and Leagues Cup.

Players will report for preseason in Vancouver at the Whitecaps FC National Soccer Development Centre on January 6, will have medicals over the weekend, and hold their first on-field training session on January 9.

On January 30, Whitecaps FC will depart Vancouver for a three-week camp in Palm Springs, California, where they'll participate in the second annual Coachella Valley Invitational at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The 2023 Coachella Valley Invitational will host 12 MLS teams for training and preseason exhibition matches from January 29 to February 18 at the location made famous by the iconic Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Along with the 'Caps, the following teams will also be in attendance: Charlotte FC, D.C. United, LA Galaxy, LAFC, Minnesota United FC, New York City FC, New York Red Bulls, Portland Timbers, San Jose Earthquakes, St. Louis CITY SC and Toronto FC.

Additional details about the event, including match schedule, ticket on-sale information and media accreditation, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Following the camp, the 'Caps will return to Vancouver on February 18 to continue preparations for the 2023 season.

February 18: Return to Vancouver, BC
