Sioux Falls Canaries News Release
SIOUX FALLS - The Sioux Falls Pheasants released right-handed pitcher Terrence Engles on Wednesday.
Engles (0-0, 3.00) made one appearance with the team on May 16, a six-inning start against Winnipeg. Engles allowed two runs on six hits. He walked three and struck out two and did not factor in the decision.
Engles was formerly in the Washington Nationals' farm system. Prior to this season, he had not pitched since 2009.
The Pheasants roster now stands at 22 players with 11 pitchers and 11 position players.
The Sioux Falls Pheasants are in the midst of a seven-game home stand. Game three of a four-game series with Winnipeg is at 7:05 p.m. tonight at Sioux Falls Stadium.
