EL PASO, TX - The Amarillo Sox played a game in stark contrast to a 23-18 loss the night before, this time they couldn't get many runs on the board against the El Paso Diablos on Wednesday afternoon, as they fell to the Diablos by a score of 6-2 at Cohen Stadium. The Sox were swept in the series.

Amarillo starter Justin Garcia (0-1) got the loss, allowing six runs off 12 hits in six and a third innings. El Paso starter David Whigham (1-1) got the win, allowing both Amarillo runs off six hits in six innings of work.

Following a Kyle Nichols RBI single, Adam Deleo hit a two-run double for a four-run first inning lead. In the second, Kory Drew singled and scored on a Albenis Machado RBI double for a 5-0 El Paso advantage.

Amarillo got on the board in the third inning as Jason White walked and Matt Tucker hit a two-out double to score White from first. Following a Cyle Hankerd walk, Lee Cruz singled to score Tucker for a 5-2 Sox deficit.
