Portland Beavers News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Beavers and Portland General Electric (PGE) are teaming up to celebrate PGE's 115th anniversary and the nation's independence this Sunday with a host of activities including a special post-game fireworks show on Sunday, July 4 at PGE Park, as the Beavers play host to the Edmonton Trappers at 6:05 p.m.
Sunday's game will feature a host of great music and special giveaways.
The first 2,500 fans through the gates receive coupons for free compact fluorescent light bulbs, courtesy of Energy Trust of Oregon, Fred Meyer and General Electric.
As a tribute to the role small appliances played in revolutionizing everyday household life more than a century ago, PGE is giving away scores of new electric irons, toasters and George Foreman Grills through promotions during the game.
The special fireworks show will begin shortly after the game and will originate from the center field area of PGE Park.
Tickets are available at the PGE Park box office, located at 1844 S.W. Morrison in Portland, or through Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at (503) 224-4400 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets range from $6.00 - $11.00.
