PetSmart Donates Stuffed Toys to Tri-City Americans Teddy Bear Toss Game

Kennewick, WA - The Tri-City Americans are hosting their Fred Meyer Teddy Bear Toss game this Saturday at the Toyota Center. The annual game collects stuffed toys that are thrown on to the ice after the Americans score their first goal. For the seventh year in a row, PetSmart in Kennewick has partnered with the Americans and donated 1,300 stuffed toys for the event.

PetSmart staff member Nancy McVicker led the toy drive while Amy Fremerlid acquired the most donations with 700 stuffed toys.

Americans players Connor Bouchard, Marc Lajoie, and Sasha Mutala went to PetSmart today to help pick up the boxes of stuffed animals.

The Fred Meyer Teddy Bear Toss game will start at 6:05 on Saturday as the Americans take on the Prince George Cougars. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gentle used stuffed animals to toss onto the ice. All donations will be distributed to local charities throughout the Mid-Columbia.
