Petes Trade Austin Watson
January 9, 2012 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Peterborough Petes News Release
The Peterborough Petes announced today that General Manager David Reid has completed a trade with the London Knights that sends 19 year old forward Austin Watson and a 4th round draft pick in 2016 to the Knights in exchange for 17 year old left winger Chase Hatcher, London's 2nd round draft pick in 2014 and Mississauga's 2016, and a conditional 3rd round draft pick in 2018 should Watson return to the OHL next season as an overage player.
Hatcher, a 6'3" 1994 born power forward from Haddonfield, NJ is the son of former Dallas Stars captain Derian Hatcher.
"Chase is a big winger with good skill who has been playing behind a group of young forwards in London" says Petes General Manager David Reid. "We expect Chase to be a big power forward for the Petes this year and in future years."
"The Petes would like to thank Austin for his two years of service with the Petes and wish him the best of luck with the Knights and in his future career."
