The Kingston Frontenacs announce today the acquisition of 17 year old, first year left winger Adam Lloyd from the Brampton Battalion in exchange for 19 year old, fourth year left winger Derek Froats.

In his draft year, Lloyd had 29 goals and 74 points in 43 games with Ottawa.

"We are continuing to make additions to our club that we believe with help us be the team we want to be moving forward," said General Manager Doug Gilmour about the 6.00, 183 pound forward. "Lloyd is a skilled player and is having a solid OHL season as a rookie."

Departing the team will be left winger Derek Froats.

"Again, to get something, you have to give something," said Gilmour. "We wish Froatsy all the best and thank him for his time and contributions while he was with us."

The Frontenacs take to the ice for a three games western road swing this upcoming weekend when they visit the London Knights on Friday, the Sarnia Sting on Saturday and then a matinee on Sunday with the Kitchener Rangers. L

The next Frontenac home games are Friday January 20th versus the Kitchener Rangers and then Sunday afternoon January 22nd versus the Belleville. Great seats can be purchased by calling the K-Rock Centre box office or by dropping by the K-Rock Centre box office on Barrack Street.
