Petes Hit Double Digits to Sink Steelheads

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes got back in the win column on Saturday night after defeating the Mississauga Steelheads 10-3 at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.

Former Pete Nick Isaacson assisted on Mississauga's opening goal, with Zach Gallant tying the game shortly after. The Steelheads would score again before Peterborough scored eight straight goals.

Nick Robertson (14, 15, 16) recorded a hat trick to retake the OHL goal scoring lead, while rookie Mason McTavish (9, 10) took a stronger hold on the rookie scoring lead with two tallies. Michael Little (2), Liam Kirk (9), Tucker Robertson (2), and John Parker-Jones (1) all scored once.

Kirk added three assists. J.R. Avon, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, Declan Chisholm, and Max Grondin registered two helpers. Tucker Robertson, Hudson Wilson, Jacob Paquette, David Maier, Chad Denault, and Brady Hinz all had single assists.

Final shots were 47-38 in favour of the Petes, with Hunter Jones making 35 saves.

The Petes were 4/4 on the power play and 4/4 on the penalty kill.

The Petes are on the road next weekend to visit the Sudbury Wolves on Saturday, November 2 at 7:05pm and the North Bay Battalion on Sunday, November 3 at 2:05pm.
