
Rangers Edge the Fronts 3-2 in Kingston

Kingston, ON: The Rangers (6-3-2-2) finished off their brief Eastern Ontario road swing in Kingston to play the Frontenacs (1-10-2-1) at Leon's Centre on Saturday night.
Declan McDonnell scored his second goal in as many nights, Francesco Pinelli netted his seventh of the year, and Reid Valade earned himself the first star honours, a game-winning goal, and one assist.
Jacob Ingham saved 29 in the win.

Kingson's Evan Brand took a delay of game penalty at 3:13 of the first period. On the ensuing powerplay, Declan McDonnell (2) picked up a rebound in the slot and fired it past Ryan Dugas to give the Rangers an early lead, 1-0.
Mike Petizian and Reid Valade picked up assists on the goal.
A short time later, at 6:19, Jonathan Yantsis found Francesco Pinelli (7) streaking into the offensive zone and the rookie snuck it five-hole to put the Rangers up 2-0.
Arber Xhekaj also earned an assist on the insurance goal.
There wouldn't be any further scoring in the first 20-minutes and the period ended with the Rangers leading in shots 9-6.
Kingston halved the lead at when Shane Wright, from the side of the net, took a shot wide of Jacob Ingham that took an unfortunate bounce off Ville Ottavainen and it was 2-1.
KitchenerÃÂ restored their two-goal lead on a powerplay when a shot from in front of the blue line by Ville Ottavainen was tipped by Reid Valade (5) and that made it 3-1.
The FrontenacsÃÂ struck back quickly and 31 seconds later, Zayde Wisdom rifled home his seventh going high, glove-side on an unobstructed shot from the left faceoff circle.
After two periods, the Rangers led in shots 21-17.
In the third period, despite ending the game on a six-on-four powerplay with an empty net, the Frontenacs couldn't find a way to beat Ingham a third time and the Rangers squeaked out a 3-2 victory.
Final shots were in favour of the home team, 28-27.
The next home game for the Rangers is on Friday, November 1ÃÂ at 7:30 pm versus the Owen Sound Attack. The next away game is onÃÂ Saturday,ÃÂ November 10 at 6:05 pm versus the Oshawa Generals.
