WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will open their ninth training camp on Thursday, September 20 at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza. The first team practice will take place at 1:00pm that afternoon.
The Penguins will spend 12 days in preparation for the 2007-2008 campaign, which gets underway when Wilkes-Barre/Scranton plays host to the Hershey Bears on October 3 at Wachovia Arena. They will play preseason games against the Bears (Sept. 22 at home, Sept. 30 in Hershey) and the Binghamton Senators (Sept. 28 at home, Sept. 29 in Binghamton) as tune-ups for the season.
Also during camp, the Penguins will hold a special evening scrimmage - exclusively for season ticket holders - at Wachovia Arena on Tuesday, September 25 from 6:00-7:30pm.
All practices held at Wachovia Arena are closed to the general public. A full training camp schedule follows this release.
Season ticket packages, mini-plans and flex-books for the 2007-2008 season are on sale now, and available by contacting the Penguins' ticketing office at 570-208-7367.
