Penguins Assign Two To Nailers

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the 'AA' affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have announced two additions to their roster from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL). Goalie Curtis Darling along with defenseman Brock Sheahan have joined the Nailers training camp at WesBanco Arena.

Sheahan, 24, comes to Wheeling after a collegiate career at Notre Dame where he posted 33 points (4g, 29a) in 161 career games. He finished his senior season for the Fighting Irish with 13 assists to go along with his 1 goal.

Darling, 25, a native of Calgary, ALTA recorded 7 wins and 1516 minutes in 27 games for the Nailers last season. Curtis spent one game with both the Syracuse Crunch and Manchester Monarchs of the AHL.
