Penguins Assign Koci to Nailers

WHEELING, WV – The Wheeling Nailers announce today that defenseman David Koci has been assigned to the Nailers from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. Koci will not be with the team in Toledo tonight, but will be on the roster Saturday in Dayton.

This will be Koci's third assignment to the Nailers this season. He has played ten games for the Nailers this season in his first two trips without registering a point and accumulating 30 penalty minutes. From October 25 – November 3 he appeared in seven games for Wheeling. Koci also played in three games from November 15 – November 17. He has not yet appeared in a game for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

With the addition of Koci, the Nailers will have 21 players on their roster, nine defensemen, ten forwards and two goalies.

The next Nailers home game is Thursday, November 28, Thanksgiving night against the Johnstown Chiefs at 7:00p.m. The first 1,500 fans age 14 and under will receive a school binder courtesy of The Intelligencer and News Register.
