Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The PawSox jumped on Cole DeVries early on Wednesday night at a soggy McCoy Stadium and defeated the Red Wings 5-2. Pawtucket scored 4 runs in the first three innings. Mauro Gomez had a two run single. Nate Spears added a run-scoring hit and Daniel Nava chipped in with a double that scored another. Nava also knocked in the final run with a single. Nava had three htis.
Justin Germano (4-1) was the winner with 6 solid innings. Germano improved to 4-1. Garrett Mock, Junichi Tazawa and Mark Melancon each threw a scoreless inning of relief.
The first place PawSox (21-13) face Rochester again on Thursday at 12:05 p.m. at McCoy. Luke French (0-0) faces Brandon Duckworth (4-0).
