IronPigs Game Notes

May 9, 2012 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The IronPigs (17-14) play Game Three of a four-game series against the Indianapolis Indians (18-13) at Victory Field... With a 7-2 loss last night, the Pigs have dropped two straight to the Indians -- starting 0-2 on this eight-game, West Division road trip. Still, Lehigh Valley has won four of its last seven contests following a 3-9 skid... The Indians -- Pittsburgh's affiliate -- have now won four games in a row -- one away from tying their season-high (April 24-29) -- and are 11-3 in their last 14 affairs (after starting just 7-10)... Even so, the Pigs remain 11-7 all-time at Victory Field.

LHP Pat Misch (1-4, 6.56) will start for LHV against LHP Justin Wilson (2-3, 3.97).

Today's game starts at 1:05 p.m... The series finale tomorrow will be played at 11:05 a.m.

VICTORY FIELD?:

The Pigs have played well at Victory Field in their history -- going 11-7... But they have lost two straight games in Indianapolis for just the 2nd time in match-up history (8/21/11-8/22/11)... They've never lost 3 straight in IND... Back in 2010, LHV swept the 4-G series.
