PawSox Lose to Knights in Extra Innings

The PawSox lost game three of the four game series Thursday night at McCoy Stadium 1-0 against the Charlotte Knights. Greg Golson homered (4) in the 11th to put Charlotte up 1-0.

The PawSox stranded the winning run on third base in the tenth after Che-Hsaun Lin reached base on a hit by pitch. He advanced to second on a bunt from Nate Spears, moved to third on a groundball to second but a strike out ended the inning.

Brandon Duckworth went seven innings, his longest outing this season and gave up two hit, no runs and struck out five. Will Latimer got the loss for the PawSox. He gave up one hit and one run in two innings. Donnie Veal earned the win for the Knights. He struck out two in two innings.

For the PawSox, Iglesias, Anderson, Gomez, Hassan, and Rivera each had a hit. The series continues tomorrow night at 7:05 pm. Doug Mathis (5-5, 3.83) faces Deunte Heath (4-2, 1.64).
