
Pats Look to Snap Skid against Hitmen in Calgary

Calgary, Sask. - The Regina Pats (16-21-0-1) play the second game of their three game Alberta road trip today, meeting up with the Calgary Hitmen (17-15-5-2) on Sunday at 3:00 p.m., Central Time at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
The Pats have dropped their last four games, and seven straight on the road after a heartbreaking 5-4 loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Wednesday. Hurricanes captain Joe Arntsen scored with two seconds left in regulation to give the Hurricanes their second straight victory. Regina battled back several times on Wednesday after they lost a 2-0 lead in the second period, coming twice in the hockey game.
Cole Dubinsky recorded a career-high three points (1G-2A) and Ryker Evans scored a career-high two goals in the loss. Stanislav Svozil scored his first in 17 games and Connor Bedard tallied two helpers. Matthew Kieper made 32 saves on 37 shots, as the final shots were 37-27 for Lethbridge, and 16-3 in the third for the Hurricanes. The Pats went 2-for-6 on the power play and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
On the other side, the Calgary Hitmen play their first game since January 30th, as they're coming off a 4-2 loss to the Swift Current Broncos. They are 5-3-2-0 over their last 10 games and are 2-2-1-0 over their last five contests. The Hitmen also just snapped their three game home losing-streak and sit with a 10-7-4 home record.
Calgary is eight points ahead of Regina in the Eastern Conference standings, sitting in seventh.
