Pats Look for Redemption Versus Tigers

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats host the Medicine Hat Tigers in the finale of their three game homestand on Wednesday inside the Brandt Centre at 7:00 p.m.

the Regina Pats bounced back from back-to-back losses this weekend with a 4-2 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Monday, improving to 2-0-0-1 against the Hurricanes in the season series with one more meeting left.

The Pats mustered three unanswered goals, coming back from a 2-1 deficit. Regina got scoring from four different players as well as points from nine different Pats in their 26th victory of the season and 11th in comeback fashion. Stanislav Svozil (1G-1A), Braxton Whitehead, Tanner Howe and Zane Rowan scored for the Pats while Connor Bedard and Tye Spencer each chipped in with a pair of assists. Drew Sim made 28 saves for his 22nd win of the season.

On the other side, the Medicine Hat Tigers are coming off a 4-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels, grabbing three of four points in a home-and-home split as they lost 5-4 in overtime to begin the set.

Brenden Lee lead the way scoring twice for his team leading 23rd & 24th goals of the season while Cayden Lindstrom & Andrew Basha helped the Tigers power play go 2/6 in the final meeting of the season against the Rebels. Beckett Langkow made 16 saves for his 20th win of the season.

The Tigers are 8-1-3 over their last 12 games since January 17. The Tigers have also won three of their last five road games since January 17 (3-1-1).

The Regina Pats are 8-5-1 over their last 14 games since Jan. 8, defeating the Calgary Hitmen twice (6-2 & 6-5), Saskatoon Blades (7-4), Portland Winterhawks (4-3), Swift Current Broncos (5-2), Lethbridge Hurricanes twice (3-2 & 4-2) and the Moose Jaw Warriors (8-4) which comes following a three game losing-streak from Jan. 1 - Jan. 6...during that time, they have outscored their opponents 64-to-59.
